Derby score four in the first inning on Mitchell Birdsong's grand slam. They added on in the second to lead 5-0. Liberal got on the board with two in the fifth. Derby added three in the sixth to lead 8-3. Liberal added one in the sixth and three in the seventh to cut the lead to 8-6. Derby added an insurance run in the eighth for the final 9-6 score.
Kade Sheldon, Kyler Warren, and Nolan Ganter led the Twins with three hits. Mitchell Birdsong had four RBI. Lukas Ward went six innings allowing five hits and three runs. Karson Richard got one out and allowed three runs. Kenny Fistler went 1.2 scoreless innings allowing one hit with one K. Alex Ronk pitched the ninth allowing one hit with one K.
