Twins beat Bat Cats 13-9 to stay in second place

Cade Sutherland drove in five runs on three hits to lead Derby Twins past 2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s 14-10 on Wednesday at Panther Field. Cade Sutherland hit a grand slam to left field in the third inning, scoring four runs, and singled in the eighth inning, scoring one.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Derby Twins collected 13 hits and 2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s seven in the high-scoring affair.
2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s got on the board in the top of the first inning after Justen Crews walked, and Blake Coleman grounded out, each scoring one run.
Matt Perez homered to left field, scoring two runs in the top of the third for the 2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s.
Derby Twins flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 6-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to left field by Cade Sutherland that drove in four.
2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s captured the lead, 8-6, in the top of the fourth when Edward Jr. Gregory was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Riley Kettner induced Justen Crews to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Isaiah Velazco homered to right field, scoring two runs.

Riley Kettner earned the win for Derby Twins. The right-handed pitcher allowed four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Nolan Huff took the loss for 2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, giving up eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits, striking out none and walking one. Ryan Pacha started on the bump for Derby Twins. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and four runs over three innings, striking out four and walking four. Ryan Pineo started the game for 2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s. The righty surrendered four hits and six runs over five innings, striking out six and walking four. Tommy Ches collected the save.
Derby Twins piled up 13 hits in the game. Joel Lindahl, Griffin Cooley, and Kole Dudding each collected multiple hits for Derby Twins. Derby Twins turned one double play in the game.

Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Edward Jr. Gregory and Justen Crews each stole multiple bases for 2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s. 2025 RMBL Dodge City A’s ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game.
