Twins Secure Win Against Bat Cats

Noah Allison collected four hits in four at bats, as Derby Twins defeated Great Bend Bat Cats 13-9 on Saturday. Noah Allison hit a solo home run to right field in the third inning, singled in the first inning, singled in the seventh inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Derby Twins collected 14 hits and Great Bend Bat Cats 15 in the high-scoring affair.
Great Bend Bat Cats got on the board in the top of the first inning after Peanut Brazzle homered to left field, Kyle Walker homered to left field, and TJ Shaw Jr stole home, each scoring one run.
Derby Twins took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Cade Sutherland homered to center field, Noah Allison singled to center field, Griffin Cooley singled to center field, and Derby Twins scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.
Great Bend Bat Cats took the lead in the top of the third. Andrugh Yee homered to center field, scoring two runs, to give Great Bend Bat Cats the lead, 5-4.
Noah Allison homered to right field, which helped Derby Twins tie the game at five in the bottom of the third.
Great Bend Bat Cats took the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Peanut Brazzle homered to left field, TJ Shaw Jr singled down the right field line, and Elias Leon singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Andrugh Yee hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the fifth for the Great Bend Bat Cats.
Derby Twins tied the game up in the bottom of the fifth thanks to two singles. Derby Twins tied the game at nine on a single by Damian Garcia.
Derby Twins took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Cade Sutherland doubled, scoring two runs, to give Derby Twins the leg up, 11-9.
Derby Twins added insurance runs in the seventh and eighth innings for the final 13-9 score.
Brandon Enders earned the win for Derby Twins. The righty surrendered six hits and one run over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two. Tyler Stuhlsatz took the loss for Great Bend Bat Cats. The reliever went two and one-third innings, giving up four runs on five hits, striking out two and walking one. Alex Morrison started on the mound for Derby Twins. The pitcher gave up eight hits and eight runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Cooper Annin led things off on the mound for Great Bend Bat Cats. The righty surrendered seven hits and seven runs (six earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking four. Peyton Walters and Ryan Koob each came on in relief for Derby Twins and shutdown Great Bend Bat Cats.
Derby Twins piled up 14 hits in the game. Cade Sutherland and Noah Allison each drove in three runs for Derby Twins. Tyson Owens collected three hits for Derby Twins in four at bats. Joel Lindahl paced Derby Twins with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game. Tyson Owens and Griffin Cooley each stole multiple bases for Derby Twins. Derby Twins stole five bases in the game.
Great Bend Bat Cats tallied 15 hits in the game. Andrugh Yee provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Great Bend Bat Cats with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 3-for-4 on the day. Peanut Brazzle led Great Bend Bat Cats with four hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Andrugh Yee and Peanut Brazzle hit multiple home runs for Great Bend Bat Cats. Luke Nohinek and TJ Shaw Jr each collected multiple hits for Great Bend Bat Cats. TJ Shaw Jr stole two bases. Great Bend Bat Cats were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Luke Nohinek had the most chances in the field with 11.
Derby Twins will travel to Kingman Islanders 18O for their next game on Monday.
