FEDERALS TO GO DORMANT FOR 14-15 SEASON

Fort Wayne came out slow on Friday night in the opener in Steven's Point Wisconsin in their crucial series vs. the Saints. The Feds fell behind early and could not mount a comeback falling to the Saints by a score of 5-1. Mike DiFranco had the lone tally for Fort Wayne assisted by Mitch McEwan and Cam Wirick. Tyler Martz stopped 31 of 36 to take the loss in net. The Feds bounced back in dominating fashion in game two of the series controlling the play from start to finish coming away with the 7-3 victory. Scoring for the Feds was Brenden Lewis (2), Mike DiFranco (2), Cam Wirick (2) and Mitch McEwan. Chris Boyd got the win in net for Fort Wayne. Game number three went very much like the opening match of the series as the Saints got off to an early lead and grew their lead to 4-0 after two periods. The Feds came out flying in the third with three quick goals by Tratar, Lewis and Chegrintcev which pulled the Feds to within one. A late empty netter by Central Wisconsin sealed the win for the Saints and got them four of a possible six points on the weekend. Fort Wayne only managed two out of a possible six points dropping them to a record of 12-13-3 with 27 points which puts them in sixth place in the Great Lakes Division. Next up for the Federals will be a three game home series December 13-15 vs. the St. Louis Frontenacs at the Lutheran Health SportsCenter. Fort Wayne has yet to face-off St. Louis this season has a season record of 0-25-3. Last season the Feds took five of six meetings from St. Louis. Game times for this upcoming series listed below:
