FEDS READY TO ROCK THE JUNGLE

Fort Wayne, IN – The Fort Wayne Federals are set to celebrate their five year anniversary season in style with two games at the 10,480 seat Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, home of the ECHL’s Fort Wayne Komets. 
The two dates are January 18, 2015 vs. in-state rival, the Illiana Blackbirds and February 8, 2015 vs. the ST. Louis Frontenacs.  Puck drop for both games are scheduled for 12:30 with the Komets start time set for 5:00. The two regular season games will be played directly prior to the Komet’s games those nights. The tickets will be good for both the Komets and Feds games.
 “We are beyond thrilled to play in such a historic building and in front of the great Komet fans,” said Federals Assistant GM and Broadcaster, Chris Treft. Treft hopes that the fan base which ranked second in the ECHL last season with an average attendance of 7,211, will come out a bit early on those days to “rock the jungle”, as they call it, and cheer on the Federals to victory. “We are still new in town and a lot of people don’t know who we are and what junior hockey is," added Treft. “We encourage the great hockey fans in the area to come out to these games and see what junior hockey and the Federals are all about."     
The Coliseum, which was erected in 1952, has hosted many great events in its historic past.  This includes housing an NBA team from 1952-1957 (Fort Wayne Pistons, now the Detroit Pistons), hosting an NBA All-Star Game in 1953, hundreds of concerts of legendary musicians, presidential speeches, the nine championships and thousands of great Komet’s games, and much more.          
Tickets for the two games can be purchased at a discounted price, by emailing Chris Treft at ChrisTreft@ftwaynefederals.com with partial proceeds going back to the Federals.  Tickets can also be obtained at Komets.com or the Coliseum box office.
