BOSTON(Mar. 30, 2017)- The United Women’s Lacrosse League (UWLX) has announced the hiring of Hall of Fame lacrosse coach Krystin Porcella as the newest General Manager of the Baltimore Ride..
Ms. Porcella currently serves as president of Top of the Bay Sports and the Varsity Head Coach of John Carroll, serving both as a national leader in women’s lacrosse. Her storied coaching career has included a term as the Welsh National team coach and several tours on the USA U19 team coaching staff.
“Krystin Porcella is a huge addition to the UWLX,” said league CEO Digit Murphy. “Her presence as a club owner in the Baltimore area with Top of the Bay will maker her a big part of the fan growth in this area. Her long standing success with US Lacrosse makes her an easy choice to be a leader in Baltimore as well as the Nation! She is a wealth of knowledge and has maintained a successful club presence while also helping athletes of all ages achieve their goals and dreams.”
Ms. Porcella brings a great deal of lacrosse clout, experience, and knowledge to the Baltimore Ride as they enter the second year of competition with the UWLX. The new season will kick-off on Saturday May 27th with the Ride taking on the Long Island Sound during the 2017 NCAA Final Four weekend.
