The Philadelphia Force had an impressive 18-8 victory over the Boston Storm on Friday, the same team they lost to in overtime on opening weekend. Leading the way for the Force on attack were Kara Mupo (6 g, 9 pts) and Molly Hendrick (4 g, 5 pts).

The Force again showed how dynamic their offense can be with 6 different goal scorers, 8 assisted goals, and 3 two point goals. Philadelphia’s defense shone in this impressive win close to home, allowing only 2 goals (3 points) in the first half while scoring 8 (9 points). They again scored 9 points in the second half, while only allowing 4 goals (5 points).

Boston struggled to take advantage of their possession scoring only 6 times throughout the game. However, Hannah Murphy once again showed how dangerous she can be scoring half of Boston’s 8 points. Tanner Guarino and Vicky Graveline each added 2 points for Boston, while Caitlin Villareal, a Division II standout, had the lone assist.

In a game that lasted 1 hour 24 minutes and saw 5 two point goals, Philadelphia once again proved their dominance on the field. A two game win streak moves the Force to 2-2 while Boston loses its second in a row also moving to 2-2.

Both teams will head to Germantown, MD next where Philadelphia will take on Long Island at 5:00 and Boston will face Boston at 7:00 on Friday July 7th.
