Long Island Stays Undefeated Heading into Playoffs

BOSTON(Mar. 30, 2017)- The United Women’s Lacrosse League (UWLX) has announced the hiring of Hall of Fame lacrosse coach Carol Rainson-Rose as the newest General Manager of the Defending UWLX Champion Long Island Sound.
Ms. Rainson-Rose currently serves as CEO of the LI Elite in addition to her duties as head coach of the Northport Girls Varsity team. As coach she has helped develop over 60 High School All Americans and produced over 85 NCAA Division I athletes. Ms. Rainson-Rose is also a member of the US Lacrosse Legends Club, Manhasset Lacrosse Hall of Fame, Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Hall of Fame, Manhasset Sports Hall of Fame, and the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame.

Ms. Rainson-Rose brings a wealth of coaching experience and knowledge to the Long Island Sound as they enter the second year of competition with the UWLX. The new season will kick-off on Saturday May 27th with the Sound taking on the Baltimore Ride during the 2017 NCAA Final Four weekend.
