NECBL Announces Reserves for 2025 All-Star Game

The NECBL is excited to announce the reserves for the North and South Divisions for the 2025 All-Star Game, hosted by the Upper Valley Nighthawks at Maxfield Sports Complex in Hartford, VT. 

 

The All-Star game will begin at 5:10 pm on July 20th. With MLB scouts in attendance, the NECBL’s best will look to showcase their talents by representing both their summer teams and universities in hopes of continuing their respective careers.  

 

North Division: 


Joining the starting lineup of players released this morning, here are the reserves for the North Division:

 

Relief Pitchers:
Ben Dean (Keene, Duke)

Kyle Salvati (North Adams, Franklin Pierce)

ZacH Kittrell (North Shore, Alabama)

Nic Melton (Sanford, UNC Asheville)

Tyler Longoria (Sanford, St. John’s)

Aaron Potter (Upper Valley, Georgia Gwinnett)

Jayson Torres (Vermont, Maryland)

 

Closing Pitcher:

Todd Kniebbe (Keene, FAU)

 

Catchers: 

Aukai (Jaydon) Kea (North Shore, Vanderbilt)

Nick Shuhet (Upper Valley, Rider)

 

First Base: Brennan Hudson (Sanford, Georgia)

 

Second Base: AJ Brotz (Upper Valley, Marist)

 

Third Base: Alex Marot (Upper Valley, Charleston Southern)

 

Shortstop: Nick Romano (Keene, FAU)

 

Outfielders:

Michael O’Brien (Keene, Arkansas, Little Rock)

Conlan Daniel (Vermont, Cincinnati)

Jack Toomey (Sanford, Boston College)

 

DH: Nelphie Lopez (North Adams, Stetson)

 

Combined with the starting lineup, Keene leads the way with nine total players in this year’s All-Star Game. Sanford and Upper Valley follow behind with seven and four, respectively. North Adams, North Shore, and Vermont are tied with three selections apiece. 

 

South Division:

Closing Pitcher: Andrew Wertz (Valley, Salve Regina)

 

Catchers:
Andreaus Lewis (Newport, Manhattan)

Jack Lutte (Danbury, Denison)

 

First Base: Will Cook (Danbury, Sacred Heart)

 

Second Base: AJ Aschettino (Mystic, Northeastern)

 

Third Base: Colby Wallace (Newport, East Carolina)

 

Shortstop: Brendon DeGoti (Ocean State, Miami)

 

Outfielders:

Gavin Greger (Ocean State, Bryant)

Will Hampton (Team, School)

David Mendez (Mystic, Maryland)

 

DH: Kolton Reynolds (Ocean State, Arkansas)

 

Newport is in front with eight all-star selections, followed by Martha’s Vineyard and Ocean State with five. Mystic has four players, with Danbury and Valley tied at three, while Bristol has just one player participating.
