NECBL Announces Starters for 2025 All-Star Game

The NECBL is excited to announce the starters for the North and South Divisions for the 2025 All-Star Game, hosted by the Upper Valley Nighthawks at Maxfield Sports Complex in Hartford, VT. 

 

The All-Star game will begin at 5:10 pm on July 20th. With MLB scouts in attendance, the NECBL’s best will look to showcase their talents by representing both their summer teams and universities in hopes of continuing their respective careers.  

 

North Division:

 

With the NECBL division realignment, this is the first year where All-Star rosters will perfectly match with regular season divisions. Keene, Sanford, Upper Valley, North Adams, North Shore, and Vermont have battled it out all year, but will join forces on the 20th as their rosters compile the North Division All-Star roster.

 

Here are the starters, as well as one “coach’s choice”, for the North Division:

 

Manager: Shaun McKenna (Keene)

 

Pitcher: Ben Rabatin (Keene, Kent State)

Catcher: Ryan Kolben (Sanford, UMass Amherst)

First Base: Jaylen Hernandez (Vermont, Winthrop)

Second Base: Cuyler Baxter (North Adams, Wake Forest)

Third Base: Brendan Sencaj (Sanford, Bentley)

Shortstop: Trey King (Sanford, Georgia)

 

Outfielders:

Cole Fellows (Upper Valley, Columbia)

Marshall Lipsey (Keene, FAU)

Jack Herring (Keene, East Carolina)

DH: Ty Mainolfi (Keene, Boston College)

Coach’s Choice: Ripken Reese (Keene, Kent State)


 

South Division: 

 

Here are the starters, as well as one “coach’s choice”, that will represent Newport, Bristol, Martha’s Vineyard, Ocean State, Valley, Mystic, and Danbury of the South Division: 

 

Manager: Mike Coombs (Newport)

 

Pitcher: Finbar O’Brien (Newport, Gonzaga)

Catcher: Davis Johnson (Mystic, Notre Dame)

First Base: Evan Appelwick (Martha’s Vineyard, Miami (OH))

Second Base: Greg Pettay (Ocean State, South Alabama)

Third Base: Brayden Martin (Martha’s Vineyard, Maryland)

Shortstop: Randy Seymour (Newport, Michigan State)

 

Outfielders:

Matt Bolton (Newport, Binghamton)

Garett Larsen (Danbury, Yale)

Sebastian Mexico (Valley, Louisiana Tech)

 

DH: Mike Gupton (Newport, Sanform)

 

Coach’s Choice: Drew DeLucia (Newport, Austin Peay)

The starters of each division will be joined by eighteen reserves: eight pitchers, two catchers, four infielders, three outfielders, and one designated hitter. These selections will be announced shortly at 11 am ET. Additionally, two more players, one on each team, will be selected via a fan vote on the NECBL Instagram, commencing tomorrow at 12:01 am ET. Voting will close on Thursday, July 17th, at 11:59 pm. 

 

The All-Star festivities will kick off Saturday, July 20th, with a Home Run Derby at 2:40 pm ET. The participants will be announced on Tuesday, July 15th, at 11 am ET.
