Philadelphia, PA - The Temple University Ice Hockey Club announced tryout times for the 2019-20 season. 

Tryouts will take place over two days, Wednesday, Aug. 28 and Thursday, Aug. 29. Tryouts begin at 8 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday. Players are expected to show up both dates.

Tryouts will be held at The Igloo at Mt. Laurel at 3033 Fostertown Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ. It will mark the first official on-ice session held by the Temple Owls, marking an important first step in the short-term and long-term future of the Cherry and Ice.

Head coach Pat Carroll recommends interested players to arrive no later than 7 p.m. each night.

Prospective players will be on the ice alongside the entire Temple Owls hockey team. This will allow Carroll and the rest of the coaching staff and team leadership to properly evaluate where everyone could fit on the squad. 

The team’s first practice session will take place Saturday, Aug. 31 at 12:30 p.m. This time may be used as an additional slot for impressive players to tryout with the club during an official practice.

About the Temple University Ice Hockey Club

The Temple University Ice Hockey Club was founded in 1940 and has played in the top division of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), the top league for club hockey in the United States, since 2015. Temple plays in the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association (ECHA) alongside geographical rivals in Villanova and Drexel. The Temple Owls play at The Igloo at Mt. Laurel at 3033 Fostertown Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ. They have made the playoffs in four-straight ECHA seasons.
