Congradulations to Our 2021 Graduating Class

The 2020-2021 Season unfortunately was not meant to be due to the continuing Covid-19 Pandemic. No games this season meant no Senior Night to give our graduating class a sendoff with friends and family they would remember forever. Let's take the time now to honor those seniors who didn't get their night in the spotlight.

Forward Shawn Fowler always put his heart on the ice. The dynamic and always aggressive #77 was a force to be reckoned with especially with his forecheck. Fowler also brought tons of energy to the team whether on the bench cheering others on or on the ice talking with his rivals. Shawn in the 2019-2020 season tallied 4 assists and 4 goals including a dramatic game-tieing shorted-handed goal against Lehigh on February 15th, 2020. Fowler played 87 games for the Owls and recorded 10 goals and 15 assists.  He graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science.

Forward Garrett Elmer was a good calming presence on the ice but still gave his heart and soul to the team.  #84 was always on his best behavior being one of just three Owls to not commit a penalty in the 2019-2020 season. Garrett's only goal of the 2019-2020 season was the opening goal against West Chester on November 15th, 2019. Elmer appeared in 51 games for the Owls and recorded 5 goals and 3 assists. He graduated with a Bachelor's in International Business.

Forward Garrett Russell is the only non-Pennslyvanian graduating from the team hailing from Mississauga, Ontario. That didn't stop #26 from getting well-acquainted with Pennslyvania joining the team mid-season in 2017. Garett's two goals in the 2019-2020 season were both on special teams, one shorted-handed against NJIT on December 6th, 2019, and one on the power play against NJIT on September 21, 2019. Russel appeared in 65 games for the Owls and recorded 4 goals and 5 assists. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management.

Media Director Dylan Coyle put his heart and soul into the team as much as anyone on the ice. As our media team has grown and made new strides Dylan has been at the forefront of it all these last two years. Players and coaches alike were always happy to chat and give us more information. The media team and its current staff and equipment wouldn't be possible without Dylan's dedication and commitment to always improving and growing the TUICE Network and the Temple Ice Hockey brand. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Journalism.

To all seniors at Temple University, we say congratulations on graduating in this tough and difficult time. To our four seniors that have been a part of our team, we hope nothing but the best in your future careers!
