The newest recruit of the summer is left winger, Julien Rudolph, from Alexandra, VA. The left-handed offensive-minded forward played last for the Skipjacks team out of York, PA in the United States Premier Hockey League and takes his quick speed and aggressive mind to the streets of North Broad.

Rudolph first made his presence on the ice in his early high school years after helping his 16UF team the Potomac Patriots take home a title in 2016. He transferred over to the Skipjacks club at the 18U level being named a player of the week in 2019. At the premier level, Julien made an introduction for himself averaging a point per game in his first full season of premier action. Rudolph finished with 34 goals, & 32 assists with Skipjacks after playing a total of 86 games including two playoff runs.

While Julien is a big offensive-minded player, he says he’s willing to do whatever it takes for the team whether it be getting back on defense, provide an aggressive forecheck, or put some of his opponents into the boards. “I’ll do whatever they need me to do,” said Julien “block shots, play on the power play, just whatever.”

Rudolph’s aggressiveness and heart are qualities any coach would love to have. For the Owls, his abilities would fit very nicely into the void left by graduating senior forward Shaun Fowler. Not only does Julien fill a void but he already has some talented teammates from his Skipjack days that are here as well including Jeffrey Gross and Andrew Williams. Knowing each other and having chemistry would make it easier to fit in with the veteran Owls unit.
