Ironmen shelled by Copperheads

Lorain County scored first and took an early lead, but the Southern Ohio Copperheads scored 10 unanswered en route to an 11-2 win.

Trevor Ray was the started for Lorain County and he struggled to find his rhythm early as he allowed five runs through the first two innings. The Copperheads added two more off Ray in the fourth and he was lifted.

Canyon McWilliams came on to pitch for the Ironmen and did not fair much better as he allowed three runs in an inning and two-thirds while he walked six batters.

Caleb Waller gave the Ironmen something to cheer about as he belted a solo home run to right field in the eighth. Lorain County collected just four hits on the night as they fell to 11-2 on the year.
