Ironmen lose to Lima to end season
Date: Jul 30, 2017

Lorain County fell to 9-21 on the season after a 7-2 loss to the Galion Graders on Friday night.
Mark Mittiga got the start for the Ironmen and gave up a run in the first inning to put Galion on top. Lorain County responded in the third inning as they were able to get to Hyatt Shenefield for an earned run.
Mittiga seemed to have settled in until the fifth inning where the Graders exploded for three runs to extend their lead to 5-1 and they never looked back.
The Ironmen had a chance to get back into the game in the sixth inning as they loaded the bases with just one out in the inning and already one run across the plate, but Dustin Baird came out of the bullpen for the Graders and shut things down for the Graders as he needed just one pitch to force Nate Erzen to ground into a double play to end the inning.
Baird stayed on and allowed just one baserunner the rest of the game and closed out the ballgame for the Graders as they got their 14th win on the year.
