Ironmen drop to 12-25 on the year

Date:  Source: Lorain County Ironmen

The Ironmen returned home on Tuesday night for a late July matchup with the Galion Graders and fell 10-6.

The Graders jumped on top early against Mark Mittiga scoring a run in the second and third innings to take a 2-0 lead.

Lorain County responded in the fourth inning with a five run outburst to take a 5-2 lead.

The lead did not last very long as Mark Mittiga worked himself into a jam in the sixth inning and was lifted from the game with the bases loaded.

Trevor Ray came on to pitch for the Ironmen and he could not get out of the inning as the Graders scored five runs to take a 7-5 lead.

The Graders scored three more runs off of Ray in the seventh inning and eventually went on to win 10-6.
