Ironmen lose to Lima to end season

The Settlers got three runs in the ninth inning but it was not enough as the Lorain County Ironmen held on for their second straight win, 6-5.
Josh Armbruster was dominant from the start for Lorain County as he went 6.1 innings and gave up two runs on six hits as he got his second win of the year.
The Ironmen got on the board first in the second inning after Nate Erzen brought home Dominic Mittiga on a single to get things started. Jack Longo also came around to score in the inning as Lorain County grabbed a 2-0 lead.
The Ironmen tacked on another run in the third after Jaret Peterson delivered a two out RBI single.
The Settlers got on the board in the fourth to cut the gap to 3-1, but Armbruster settled in. He shut the Settlers down until the seventh inning.
In the seventh, Armbruster ran into some trouble and was lifted with runners on first and third and one out. Justin Liserio entered the game and after a sacrifice fly got the final out of the inning.
Lorain County added a big run in the seventh as they led 6-2 heading into the Eighth. After Liserio threw a scoreless eighth inning, Pat Carlozzi came on to close things out.
Carlozzi gave up three straight hits to start the inning and failed to record an out and was lifted. Ryan Lapage came on and allowed two hits, but tight roped out of the inning as he struck out Henry Eilen with the bases loaded to end the game.
