It was not easy, but the Lorain County Ironmen got their first win of the year as they held on for a 7-6 win over the Lima Locos.

The Ironmen fell behind early as they allowed two runs in each of the first two innings as the Locos grabbed a 4-1 lead. Lorain County surrendered another run in the third inning as they fell behind 5-1.

The Ironmen slowly started to chip away as they got one run in the third and in the fourth to cut it to 5-3. The sixth inning is when the floodgates opened for the Ironmen as they scored four runs and grabbed their first lead of the season, 7-5.

Canyon McWilliams came on to close things out in the ninth inning and immediately ran into trouble after walking three of the first four batters. He was then lifted from the game after walking in a run to make it 7-6.

Pat Carlozzi came on in his place and got Tyler Tolbert to strike out and Ethan Hurt to popout to end the game. Josh Armbruster got the win while Carlozzi got his first save of the year.

The Locos fall to 1-1 and the Ironmen improve to 1-2 on the year.
