The Ontario Prospects 16U club are the 2012 ECPL Champions. Winning the league playoff in a less than dramatic fashion was not how it was supposed to be. Rain on Sunday forced a delay in the championship game being played till later that evening. The Prospects were scheduled to face off against the Westerkirk Royals in the finals but due to the delay the Royals were not able to field enough players and were forced to forfeit the final game. Prospects head coach, Mark Dainty said "...nobody likes to win this way. We were looking forward to a great game with the Royals and are disappointed we could not play it but understand it was out of anyone's control. My boys played hard this weekend and we had such an exciting come from behind win in the semis that everyone was pumped up for the finals. All done though it was a great season and we are looking forward to an even better 2013". Congratulations to the players, coaches and parents of the Ontario Prospects 16U Team!
