In a week that featured one memorable playoff series, Steve Coral has been named Player of the Week for July 29-August 5. Coral, who appeared in all five of the WDCS games, helped propel the Captains to their second straight NWBL Championship.

Granted there were many fantastic performances in the series, Coral's win, three homeruns, and eight RBIs in the series finale was the biggest factor in determining a West Division Champion. Despite not pitching to his usual ability, Coral did earn two victories and drove in game-winning runs in two games.

Coral's clutch abiltiy was unmatched and propelled him to this week's Player of the Week honors.
