Chico, CA:  The Chico Heat have added a catcher to their 2017 summer roster.  Jake Davison, a junior from Dixie State University, will be joining the Heat in the Summer of 2017.  Davison, from Taylorsville, Utah is currently in his third season with the Trailblazers.

At Dixie State 2016: Played in 33 games with 23 starts.  Hit .242 with 16 RBI and eight runs scored.  Had two 2B and one HR with a .318 slugging percentage.  Had 137 putouts and 26 assists for a .982 fielding percentage.  He threw out 2 of 3 would be base stealers.

At Dixie State 2015: Played in 37 games with 13 starts behind the plate … hit .225 with three RBI and one run scored … recorded no errors in 131 total chances and threw out 5-of-12 would be base stealers.

At Taylorsville High School: Named Utah 5A First Team All-State as a senior … batted .472 with a .539 OBP … missed entire junior season due to injury … helped lead Warriors to a state runner-up finish as a sophomore and was a first team all-region selection after hitting .368.

Personal: Born on October 25, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah … parents are Jason and Julie Davison… favorite team is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim … currently majoring in integrated studies.
