Chico, CA: The Chico Heat have announced that outfielder Cam Richins, from Brigham Young University will join the Heat for the 2017 summer season. Richins, from Mesa, AZ is in his first year with the Cougars.
Before BYU: Played at Desert Ridge High School, playing for Coach Pat Herrera … Two-time all-region and all-state … Team captain and four-year Golden Scholar … Elected to the Arizona All-Star game … Played on Arizona Sunbelt team that won the championship … Scored 32 runs, had 36 hits and was 15-for-15 in stolen bases as a senior … Scored 46 runs with 44 hits and was 20-for-20 in stolen bases as a junior … Played for the Arizona Baseball Club coached by Rodney Davis …
