Heat Add 2nd Arizona Pitcher to 2017 Roster

Chico, CA:  The Chico Heat have announced that pitcher Zach Sherman, from the University of Arizona will join the Heat for the 2017 summer season.  Sherman, from Ramona, CA is in his first year with the Wildcats.  Sanchez is the second UA Wildcat to commit to the Heat for 2017, joining pitcher Austin Nichols. 

Before Arizona:  Played at Ramona High School … Played three years of Varsity baseball … Hit .385 over 81 games … drove in 72 runs over his three years of HS baseball and had a slugging percentage of .576 … Had a 1.30 ERA over 10 appearances during high school … Opponents hit just .182 off him … Selected to the USA Baseball Travel Development Team in 2014 … Selected to the 2016 Louisville Slugger Pre-Season H.S. All-America 2nd team by the staff of Collegiate Baseball newspaper …
