A superb effort by Nick Floyd lifted the Kokomo Jackrabbits (22-21) to a 4-0 win over the Quincy Gems (20-24) on Tuesday at Kokomo Municipal Stadium.

Floyd struck out nine hitters en route to the the Kokomo Jackrabbits win. The Kokomo Jackrabbits' pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.

Ryan Hutchinson had two extra-base hits for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. He doubled in the second inning and tripled in the third inning.

Aaron Stone (2-3) took the loss for the Quincy Gems. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
