The Quincy Gems (24-28) and the Hannibal Cavemen (11-40) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Quincy Gems that eventually took advantage of them in a 6-4 win at Clemens Field.

Mitch Carriger racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Quincy Gems. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth innings.

Sam Huser struck out five, paving the way for a the Quincy Gems win. Huser allowed one earned run on six hits and no walks over five innings.

Collin Luty racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Hannibal Cavemen. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the sixth innings.

Ryan Furtney (3-5) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He allowed six runs in nine innings, walked five and struck out four.
