KOKOMO, IND. – A line of strong storms that rolled through the Kokomo area caused the 2016 Prospect League All-Star game to be scrubbed with just four innings complete.
The West held a 3-2 lead over the host East team when the storms hit. The two sides waited out a lightning delay of 49 minutes before the game was called off.
The Quincy Gems' Mitch Carriger drove in two runs with a double in the second inning for the West. The Gems had six players participate in the game.
