Rams Travel Back to Michigan for 3 Game Series

Alisha Difilippo gave the Rhode Island University of Rams a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Massachusetts Minutemen when she scored 3:43 into the extra period.
Rhode Island came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Rams was down 3-1 after a goal by Massachusetts Brittani Lanzilli at 16:25 in the second period. Rhode Island knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Difilippo at 19:14 in the third period.
The Rams' offense rang up 31 shots on the Minutemen's net.
Rhode Island also got a goal from Janessa Courtney as well. Other players who recorded assists for Rhode Island were Michelle Monet, Brenna Callahan, Monica Darby, and Marykate Stimpson, who each chipped in one.
Massachusetts was helped by Joanna Olson, who registered one goal. Olson scored 19:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Massachusetts. Victoria Bortolussi picked up the assist. Massachusetts also got points from Lanzilli, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Tatum Schulz also scored for Massachusetts. In addition, Massachusetts University of received assists from Michaela Tosone and Ally Perdios, who contributed one each.
The Rams' Abigail Torres stopped 30 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Rhode Island incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Samantha Baturin made 27 saves for the Minutemen on 31 shots. Massachusetts incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
