HAMILTON CAN’T GET PAST REAL McCOYS

Steelhawks president and general manager Jason Daleo is pleased to announce, along with the Allan Cup Hockey league, that Dan Bushey, the team’s equipment manager, has been awarded the Trainer of the Year award by the ACH. This is the second consecutive year that Bushy has been bestowed the honour of the award.
Bushey has had extensive experience in hockey working with the American Hockey Leagues’ Hamilton Bulldogs as well as working with the NHL’s Ottawa Senators during the training camp each fall. “We are once again thrilled that Danny has won the award. The amount of time that he puts into game days and practices to make sure the players have everything they need is unbelievable,” said Daleo. He would go on to say “We are pleased to have him on our team. His dedication is an asset to our organization.”
With winning the league award, Bushey is nominated for the Ontario Hockey Association’s trainer of the year award which will be announced on May 26th at the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The ACH also handed out numerous other awards including the following;

League Scoring Champion: Chris Risi, Thorold Athletics
League’s Top Defenseman: Sean Blanchard, Stoney Creek Generals
ACH Rookie of the Year: Ben Skinner, Dundas Real McCoys
ACH – Most Sportsman Like Award: Chris Risi, Thorold Athletics
Top Goaltender Award: Daniel Svedin, Stoney Creek Generals
Coach of the Year: Shane Bowler, Whitby Dunlops
