BRANTFORD – Cody Mombourquette was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Nic Burdett scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Brantford Red Sox edged the Toronto Maple Leafs 11-10 Thursday night in Game 6 of their best-of-seven quarter-final.
Game 7 set for Sunday afternoon in Toronto.

Andris Rizquez went 3-for-6 with three RBI and two runs in the win. Mombourquette drove in a pair, Nic Burdett had three hits and scored twice, Nate DeSouza picked up a pair of hits and scored once, Ricky Murray drove in a run, Benjamin Bostick had three hits and a run, Dan Jagdeo added an RBI and a run, and Chris Dennis scored twice.

Dalton Harvey (1-1) earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief. Harvey walked one. Graham Tebbit started and went 8.1 innings, allowing nine runs (five earned) on 11 hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
Brantford trailed 7-3 at one point but scored twice in the seventh inning and took the lead with five runs in the eighth before the Leafs tied the game in the ninth.

For Toronto, Daniel Szpik went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs. Adam Odd had two hits and two RBI, Zac Orchard had three hits, two runs and an RBI, Jonathan Solazzo scored three times and added a pair of hits, Dan Marra had an RBI, and Greg Carrington scored twice.
Adam Garner (0-1) took the loss, giving up a run on two hits with a walk in two-thirds of an inning. Starter Trevor Caughey went six innings, giving up three runs on seven hits with three walks and six strikeouts.
