In game one, the Route 66 Stars were the home team and started off giving up 2 runs in the first, 1 in the second, 2 in the third, and 1 in the fourth. With the final score 7-2, the Stars got themselves in a hole they couldn’t come back from.

Justin Root started on the hill for the Stars and threw 2 innings giving up three runs on two hits. Logan Thomazin threw the next four innings giving up 4 runs on four hits along with 4 strikeouts. Collin Fraley finished off the seventh striking out one.

Offensively, the Stars were led by Jamie Mitchell (2-3) and Collin Fraley (2-4). The Stars will take on the Ozark Mountain Wild starting Tuesday with a double header.

 

In game two, the Queen City Crush took on the Generals and put themselves in a hole as well by giving up 9 runs in the first three innings with the final score 15-3 in favor of the Generals.

Alden Blest started on the mound for the Crush allowing 4 earned runs on 4 hits with 3 walks in 2 innings. Jake Pryor threw 2.1 innings allowing 4 earned runs on 5 hits with 2 strikeouts. Jaron Dishman came in and gave up 3 runs on four hits in his third of an inning. Josiah Lovin threw an inning and a third allowing 1 run in 1 hit. Tanner Kellerstrass finished up the game throwing the 7th inning giving up zero runs on 1 hit.

With the loss, the Crush fall to 4-8 and look to take on the White River Cobras on Monday with a double header starting at 5:10pm.
