Stars Sweep Weekday Series Over Crush with 10-5 win

Sunday’s game between the Queen City Crush and the Ozark Mountain Wild featured right-handed pitcher Baylor Hinz for the Crush and righty Isaac Carlson for the Wild. Hinz threw well going five strong innings allowing three hits, one earned run, and one strikeout. Hinz improved to 1-3 on the summer as his Crush teammates gave him plenty of run support in a 14-5 win. Austin Wood and Cory Dudley finished off the game throwing the final four innings both giving up two runs each on two hits apiece. There were many offensive contributors on the night for the Crush as they had 13 hits on the night with three doubles and a triple with Logan Rycraft leading the way with a 3-6 night with three RBI’s, one double, and one triple.
Carlson fell to 1-2 on the summer as he gave up eight runs on nine hits with five walks and three strikeouts. Offensively, the Wild were led by Ben Sellers (2-3) with a double and Joey Dopp (1-3, 3 runs, 1 RBI, 1 HR) but couldn’t keep pace with the Crush.
The Crush look to keep the momentum going as they will take on the first place Route 66 Stars on Monday and the Wild will play the White River Cobras on Tuesday night.
