On a glorious Friday night at the US Ballpark, the Ozark Mountain Wild took on the Queen City Crush. 

The Friday night fireworks started early for the home team in the bottom of the first as Brant Schaffitzel started off with a walk, which added to his league lead. After back to back singles by Crit Williams and Trey Woosley which loaded the bases, Braxton Mwox struck out, Issac Carlson hit into a fielders choice that scored Schaffitzel and Carlson and Williams executed a double steal of second and home. Before the Crush knew what hit them, three runs were on the board. 

The second and fifth innings proved to be the dagger for the Crush as the Wild scored 4 and 5 more runs, bringing the score up to 12-2. 

The Wild had a dominant offensive performance by several players including Brant Schaffitzel, who went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and 3 runs, Crit Williams, who went 4-5 with 3 Runs and 1 RBI, and Trey Woosley who went 4-5 with 2 RBI’s. The offense was backed by great pitching as well from Peak Performance Player of the Game, Issac Carlson. On the night, Carlson threw 6 innings with 5 strikeouts and 2 earned runs. Carlson also had three RBI’s on the night. 

The Queen City Crush were led by Ross Indlecoffer who went 3-5 and had an RBI on the night. 

With the 12-4 win, the Wild moved into first place holding a 5-3 win-loss record. The Crush fall to 4 and 4 on the season.
