US Baseball in Ozark, Mo would like to announce that VP of Baseball Operations Mark Stratton has been promoted to General Manager effective immediately.

Former GM Brad Beattie has accepted a management position with the MLB affiliated Springfield Cardinals.

Beattie was hired in December of 2015 to bring back to life the former Ozark Mountain Ducks stadium in Ozark, MO. His 20+ year career in the Springfield grocery business with Pyramid Foods and extended involvement with area amateur baseball talent were instrumental in
returning baseball back to US Baseball Park.

Mark Stratton was Drury's first head baseball coach when it re-launched the program in 2007 after a 40-year absence. In their inaugural season in the NCAA and the Great Lakes Valley Conference, Stratton led the Panthers to a 33-24 record, the GLVC tournament championship and an appearance in the NCAA-II national tournament. He guided Drury for six seasons going 175-134. Stratton's Drury teams never had a losing season and advanced to the GLVC tournament four times. Stratton also served as head baseball coach at Glendale High School where he had a 244-154 record in 13 seasons (1993 - 2006). He now serves as the General Manager for U.S. Baseball Park in Ozark, Drury's home field.

Initially some 80 dates were booked in US Baseball Park in 2016, but 2017 saw some 156 events booked, with Drury Panther baseball, GLVC and Heart of America Conference collegiate baseball tournaments, high school travel tournaments, adult leagues, along with concerts and corporate events. 2018 will see even greater traffic in US Baseball Park as the facility continues
to grow and become part of the sports fabric of the Metro area.

US Baseball Park would like to thank Brad for his passion and commitment to US Baseball Park and congratulate him on his new adventure. Stratton, who started at US Baseball Park with Brad Beattie, will continue to help with overall baseball operations, while continuing to grow events and activities in US Baseball Park. Dave Ledford will continue as Food & Beverage Manager.
