Merchants drop game 2 of GFI to Burnaby Bulldogs
Date: Jun 22, 2017
Former Alameda Merchant JR Davis is on fire right now for Oklahoma State. There is no other way to explain it. He is leading the Pokes with a .352 batting average from the leadoff spot. He recently helped lead the Cowboys to a win in the Clemson, South Carolina Regional where he was named to the All Tournament Team (see link below).

During the Regional, Davis hit .467, had two RBI, a stolen base and scored a team high 5 runs as the Cowboys beat Nebraska (6-0) and host Clemson twice (12-2 and 9-2) in front of a rowdy crowd in Clemson, South Carolina.
The Cowboys will now play South Carolina in the super regional for a chance to play in the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
GOOD LUCK JR!!! We are rooting for you!! #Merk4Life #GFB
