Merchants UTL player named NJCAA All American

Xavier Freeman of New Lima, Oklahoma was recently named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All American team. Freeman was one of four Seminole State Trojans selected by the NJCAA. Cameron Warren of Midwest City and Abraham Toro of Greenfield Park, Canada were selected for the All-American First Team. Louis Pelletier of Montreal, Canada and Freeman received All-American Honorable Mentions.

Freeman, who played both 1B and LF for the Trojans, was ranked amongst the NJCAA national leaders in home runs the entire season. He ended the season being ranked 3rd in the entire country with 27 home runs. He batted .371, had 82 RBI (15th in the nation) and scored 69 runs. Freeman's slugging percentage was .882 - good for 5th in the enitre nation.

Freeman has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play baseball next season at the College of Charleston.
