Connor Quinn had one goal and five assists to lead Quaker Valley to a 6-3 victory over Penn-Trafford.
Quinn scored 4:24 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Quaker Valley. Ryan Quinn assisted on the tally. Quinn dished an assist on Peter Hall's goal that made the score 1-0 Quaker Valley at 13:23 into the first period. He then added assists on Owen Harkins's goal at 16:39 into the first, on Quinn's goal at 32 seconds into the second, on Harkins' goal at 1:27 into the second, and on Harkins' goal at 30 seconds into the third.Quaker Valley forced Penn-Trafford's goaltenders to work in net, firing 38 shots and forcing 32 saves. Reno Patrick made 13 stops and Alec Pevornik made 19. Quaker Valley's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in four goals.
Quaker Valley also got points from Quinn, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Quaker Valley were Noah Shultz, who had one and Beau Tomczak, who had two.
Penn-Trafford's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Quaker Valley power plays.
Penn-Trafford was helped by Benjamin Lasich, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Lasich scored on the power play 15:58 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Penn-Trafford earned a power play opportunity when Quinn was put in the box for cross checking. Matthew Simkovic picked up the assist.
