Rice's hat trick boosts Fox Chapel over Penn-Trafford, 5-1

Armstrong's Nicholas Long had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 7-2 win over Penn-Trafford.
Long's tallies came at 58 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Armstrong and 5:01 into the third to make the score 6-1 Armstrong.Armstrong's penalty kill excelled, as Armstrong gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.
Armstrong stifled Penn-Trafford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Penn-Trafford was unable to stop Armstrong from sending pucks towards the net, and Armstrong eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Armstrong could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.
Armstrong also got points from Easton Hooks, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Jace Rearic, who also racked up two goals and one assist, and Zane Wichowski, who also registered one goal and one assist. Armstrong also got a goal from Jacob Gross as well. In addition, Armstrong received assists from Jacob Toy, Giovanni Romeo, Brandon Choncek, Samuel Long, Herik Milliron, and Donovan Wichowski, who each chipped in one.
Penn-Trafford was led by Matthew Simkovic, who tallied one goal and one assist. Simkovic scored 11:11 into the third period to make the score 6-2 Armstrong. Brett Schugt assisted on the tally. Tyler Hufnagel also scored for Penn-Trafford.
Taylor Smouse rejected 24 shots on goal for Armstrong. Armstrong registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Reno Patrick made 35 saves for Penn-Trafford on 42 shots. Penn-Trafford incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
