Jake's goals lift Central Catholic to 9-4 victory over Penn-Trafford

Behind a great game by Tepe Jake, who had four goals, Central Catholic defeated Penn-Trafford, 9-4.

Jake notched his first tally 8:11 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:45 into the first, at 6:35 into the second, and at 12:41 into the second.

Central Catholic pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

Central Catholic stifled Penn-Trafford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Central Catholic forced Penn-Trafford goalie Phelps to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. Central Catholic surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Central Catholic averages 3.1 goals per game.

Central Catholic also got points from Nicholas Tabaka, who also registered one goal and two assists, Antonio Misiti, who also had two goals and three assists to lead the team in points, and Ryan Kingerski, who also finished with one goal and three assists. John Staley also scored for Central Catholic. In addition, Central Catholic received assists from Jacob Kingerski, who had three and Cullen Lemieux, Sam DeLucia, Michael Pasquarelli, and Noah Urben, who each chipped in one.

Penn-Trafford's offense rang up 41 shots on Central Catholic's net. Penn-Trafford's penalty kill unit could not stop Central Catholic's power play, which converted on two of three opportunities.

Penn-Trafford was led by Marc Anthony, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Anthony scored short handed 3:43 into the third period to make the score 8-2 Central Catholic. Penn-Trafford was on a disadvantage when Steven Cheswick went off the ice for tripping. Penn-Trafford also had goals scored by Jordan Eisenstat and James Gojkovich, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Penn-Trafford were Jesse Cox and TJ Byrne, who contributed one each.

Nate Cava made 37 saves for Central Catholic on 41 shots. Penn-Trafford's Phelps stopped 34 shots out of the 43 that he faced. Penn-Trafford incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
