South Park uses fast start to beat Wheeling Park, 12-0

South Park opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 12-0 win over Wheeling Park.

Tanner Orr had two goals and two assists to lead South Park. Orr scored the first of his two goals at 1:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 South Park. Travis Campolong assisted on the tally. Orr's next tally made the score 4-0 South Park with 4:49 left in the first period. Campolong picked up the assist.

South Park forced Wheeling Park's goalies to work without much rest, taking 31 shots and forcing 19 saves. Austin Slie made zero stops and Noah Clune made 19. South Park managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. South Park ended up below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game.
