Meaghan began playing in the CWHL for Team Alberta in 2011 and continued on with the Inferno. In her university career Mikkelson played four seasons with the University of Wisconsin Badgers from 2003-2007. After playing for the University of Wisconsin, Mikkelson, as a member of Team Canada, played in the IIHF World Championships where the team won silver in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013; and they took home gold in 2012. She is also a two-time Gold Medalist from the 2010 and 2014 Olympics. Mikkelson hopes to make a comeback to Team Canada in 2016 to go for gold at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. She was recently named to Canada’s 2016 world cup roster.
