Calgary, Alta – With the Calgary Stampede right around the corner, the 2016 Clarkson Cup Champions, the Calgary Inferno have a number of exciting public appearances.

On Thursday, July 7 Rebecca Johnston will participate as a celebrity judge in the Best New Food on the Midway Competition. The taste test includes a variety of new tantalizing and adventurous fare. Stay tuned to the Inferno Twitter page for her top picks for Stampede gluttony this season! The judging will take place in the Triple B, starting at 5:30 p.m.

On Friday, July 8, the Inferno will join the Calgary Flames to march in the The Stampede Parade. Rebecca Johnston and Meaghan Mikkelson will ride on horseback with captain Brianne Jenner and several other teammates alongside with The Clarkson Cup. To ensure a prime view of the parade it is recommended getting to a spot before start time at 9 a.m.

"Thanks to the Calgary Stampede and the Calgary Flames we have a couple of great opportunities to be apart of the greatest outdoor show on earth. It will be a great way to continue the celebration of bringing The Clarkson Cup home to Calgary for the first time and a chance for new and existing fans to meet our players," said Jeff Stevenson, Inferno interim general manager.

To celebrate kids around the city, the Inferno will be taking part in BMO Kid’s Day on Wednesday, July 13. During this event, the Inferno will be signing autographs and offering fans a chance to get their photo taken with the Clarkson Cup. The team will also be handing out special Calgary Inferno hat patches, available while quantities last.
