Both the Peninsula Oilers (17-15) and the Anchorage Bucs (22-12) put runners aboard on Monday, but it was the Peninsula Oilers that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-4 win at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
Josh Rose racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Peninsula Oilers. He homered in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Tyler Gibson picked up the win for the Peninsula Oilers. Gibson allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
Joie Dunyon was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Peninsula Oilers batters and allowing zero runs.
Kyle Davis was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out three.
