Smiths Falls downs Ottawa in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Alexandre Savard-Belanger had a standout game with 29 saves, and the Ottawa Senators beat the Smiths Falls Bears 2-1.
The win by Ottawa broke a deadlock and gave the Senators a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.
Ottawa was sparked by Joey Champigny, who had one goal. Champigny scored 13 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Ottawa. Shawn Lynch picked up the assist.
The Senators put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Smiths Falls to score on any of its four power plays.
Ottawa also got a goal from Eric Clitsome as well. Other players who recorded assists for Ottawa were Matthew Dupont and Hunter Racine, who each chipped in one.
The Bears stifled Ottawa's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
Smiths Falls was led by Karson McCartney, who scored the team's only goal. McCartney scored 2:51 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Stefano Momesso provided the assist.
The Senators incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Michael Pinios rejected 25 shots on goal for the Bears. Smiths Falls incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
