Michael Pinios was superb between the pipes for the Smiths Falls Bears, as he did not allow a goal in a 1-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

With the win, Smiths Falls evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

Brandon McMartin's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 11:16 in the second period. Taylor Henry assisted on the tally.

The Bears were led by McMartin, who finished with one goal.

Smiths Falls stifled Ottawa's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

In addition, Smiths Falls received assists from Neil Doef, who had one.

The Senators excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Ottawa kept the Bears' goalie busy throughout the game, and Pinios made 33 saves on 33 shots.

Smiths Falls incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Alexandre Savard-Belanger rejected 23 shots on goal for the Senators. Ottawa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
