Stags Hockey is Heading Back to Nationals!
Date: Feb 27, 2019

And they did it again! Your Stags Club Hockey team is heading to the 2016 National Tournament this March!
The boys were ranked #6 in the Atlantic Division, and thus headed off to Regionals this past weekend to fight for a National bid. Their first game was held Friday night against #7-ranked University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. The boys played hard and won the game 6-2, advancing them to another game Saturday against #3-ranked Neumann College. The battle was hard fought- Neumann scored the first with the Stags answering, and the score was tied 2-2 to enter the third. But the Stags played their hardest and ended the game with a huge 5-2 win, giving them a bid to Michigan.
The Stags have been placed in Pool D with Colorado State, the University of Tampa, and Aquinas College. From March 8th-12th, the boys will have the chance to face off against these teams for a shot at the National title. Nationals this year are being held up north in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also joining them from the Atlantic Division, are Bryn Athyn, Farmingdale State, and California University of PA.
The support we have received from our fans thus far has been amazing, and the team appreciates it more than anything. Make sure to come out and watch the boys face-off for the Empire Confrence semi-final next weekend (Saturday 2/27th) at 8:15pm vs. Southern Connecticut State.
