Stags Hockey is Heading Back to Nationals!
Date: Feb 27, 2019

Starting off the semester at 12-1-5 (wtl), the boys unfortunately took home two losses in very close games vs. Rowan and Bryn Athyn, but also tacked on two huge wins, including an OT-winner vs. rival Farmingdale on senior night. The last four games of the regular season changed their record to 14-1-7, placing them as #6 in the Atlantic region.
Both Bryn Athyn and Farmingdale received autobids in the Atlantic, thus placing those in spots 3-10 in the Regional Playoffs. Regionals this year will be held on February 19th and 20th in York, PA. The Stags will face off against UPJ on Friday night at 5pm for the first game. If they win, they will move on to Saturday's game to fight for a National spot. Nationals this year will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan from March 8th-March 12th.
After Regionals, the Empire Conference will hold their own playoffs at the Stags' home rink in Shelton, CT. The boys will face off against Southern Connecticut on February 27th at 8:15pm for a semi-final, with the winner moving on to the Empire Championship on March 5th at 8:30pm.
