Tennyson Blanks Bandits...

Date:  Source: MWJHL: Holland River Bandits

Tennyson came right out of the gates to take control of the game.  The Bandits looked flat and not ready to play on an early Sunday morning game. No one would have expected the downfall of the team after the amazing performance they put up last night.

Tennyson would surprise Holland with a goal 15 seconds into the game. After this early tally, the Bandits would not be able to find the edge to get back in the game. Holland's goalie Jeromy Semtner would make a few outstanding saves keeping his team close in the first period. Tennyson would be able to tally two goals in the first and would jump on the momentum it gave them.

Chance after chance would come for the Bandits, but they were just not able to find the back of the net. Tennyson, however, would have no trouble piling up goals. In the second period, the Bandits would be outshot 19 to 5. After the second, this would give Tennyson a 6 to 0 advantage.

The third would be no different for both teams. Tennyson would tally three more goals, giving them the final score of 9-0. Tennyson’s goalie would be ejected after a five minute major for butt-ending and a 10-minute misconduct. Tempers would boil over again after this display of unsportsmanlike behavior. The Bandits would head to the locker, only looking forward to the next weekend against Bloomington. Tennyson came right out of the gates to take control of the game.  The Bandits looked flat and not ready to play on an early Sunday morning game.
