The bar has been raised high by Alma Academy Post Grad to begin the NPSAAseason. Alma PG dominated the competition, sweeping their pool and fighting off league newcomers Thornlea S.S. in a hard fought final, by a score of 68-60. Alma PG was led by tournament MVP Nicky Desilien, who showed he may be one the top players in the NPSAA this season.

For Igor Rwigema this a sweat victory after a disappointing 2012 NPSAA Championshipshowing, were his formerly named Phenix Academy, went without a win.
If you missed Alma this weekend they will be back next weekend for the REDA "Holloween Havoc" Tournament. NPSAA League play begins in 2 weeks with a series of doubleheaders twice a week until the 2013 Championship weekend hosted by Bill Crothers S.S. March 7-9.
