Goal Scoring keeps Dolphins at the Top

The Etobicoke Junior Dolphins reached the Stoney Creek Showcase Final for the fourth time in the last five years this past weekend. Unfortunately, for the Junior Dolphins for the first time in each of those four appearances this year in the final they came out on the wrong side of the scoreboard with a 3-2 loss to RHA Kelowna.
Etobicoke went 4-0 in round robin play, winning games against Edge School (6-1), Florida Alliance (10-0), The Philadelphia Junior Flyers (6-2), Lovell Academy (4-1). Semi-final action saw the Dolphins beat their league rivals Durham West Lightning 2-1.
With six goals and seven assists for 13 points Ava Wood led all Dolphins on the scoresheet. Wood was closely followed by Emma Beauchamp who had six goals and six assists for 12 points.
With 64 teams in attendance the Stoney Creek Showcase attracted 162 scouts and coaches from 100 Canadian and American Universities.
