Lots to like in New Look Dolphins at Exhibition Series

As the Etobicoke Junior Dolphins skated away from the Preseason with their sights on the Regular Season there was lots to like in the recent Exhibition Series.

While the Dolphins saw success on the ice, winning all three games they played, the success of the weekend was judged as much off the ice as it was on.

“It was great to finally get all of the players in a game environment ahead of the regular season start,” said Head Coach Joe Butkevich. “But I was most happy with the sense of community this weekend created. It was a positive environment and very welcoming for the new commers to our team.”

Results from the full-weekend Etobicoke Exhibition Series can be found on the OWHA website.

The Junior Dolphins will be back at the Ford Performance Centre for practice this week before opening the Regular Season on Friday, September 6 in Stoney Creek. That game will be the first of multiple road games for the Dolphins who also play the Oakville Hornets on Saturday, September 7. They follow that with a return trip to Stoney Creek, this time for the Annual Stoney Creek Showcase before resuming Regular Season play in Brampton on September 21. Etobicoke’s first home game is not until Sunday, September 29 when they take on the visiting Ottawa Lady Sens.
